What is a testimony?  It is a statement of truth by someone who has experienced or witnessed an event.  You don't have to live a life of crime or addiction to have a riveting story about what God has done, you just need to know how to tell the story in a way people enjoy hearing.  

Everyone loves to hear a story told well.

Most of my life I've been thrown into uncontrollable situations. I lost my father just after my 11th birthday. By my 17th birthday, my family had relocated for financial reasons over 14 times. I know what it is to be a wide-eyed immigrant in a new but strange land. I have endured two wars, two miscarriages and Y2K.

"I have learned to be content
in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need" (Phil 4:11-12 NASB).

In every stage of my life God has been my father, not always answering as I may want or expect, but ever my shield, my provider, my protector. In crisis times, I have heard his voice. I felt his Holy Spirit wrap me like a comforter. In dark hours, he inspired a song to push me on or carry me through. 

The reason I live is to worship Him.

Writing is not my only gift, but every good gift comes from God, including my amazing husband, my three grown children, two powerhouse grandchildren and a couple of street cats.
